In his illustrious career Dr. Peter Johnson has made significant contributions to the understanding and treatment of swallowing difficulties in patients suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. His research has shed light on the physiological changes that occur in the swallowing process and has led to the development of specialized interventions to address dysphagia in Alzheimer’s patients. Many of the techniques he created are used today, and he has changed the way dysphagia is treated nationwide.
